The International Documentary Film Festival "Flahertiana" is taking place in Perm for the 24th time. It got its name from the American director Robert Flaherty, who for the first time applied in his films the principle "a person lives on the screen a part of life formulated by the director according to the laws of drama." In addition to the international screening, the national competition "Russian Flahertiana" is held, where the best films corresponding to the "Flahertiana" aesthetics and shot on the territory of Russia are collected. The winner is determined by the jury of the national competition, which traditionally includes artists, writers, photographers and directors.
Traditionally, guests and participants of the festival choose the Perm Premier Hotel for accommodation, and this year was no exception either. There are many documentary film connoisseurs among our staff who are closely following the screenings in the competition program and are looking forward to the anniversary "Flahertiana" next year!
